This is my story

I was born in Nicaragua August 30, 1968, in a simple family and a hard worker. My father was a health inspector and my mother, a housewife. From a young age I felt a strong curiosity about the world around me, but there was something that marked my life forever: see, my older brother to draw portraits. That was the first encounter with the art that changed me inside.

I remember asking my dad to take me to art classes, and thanks to an exhibition that offered free workshops, I discovered what would be my passion in life. I learned to observe, to play with the form and colours, to understanding art as a language without words.

For security reasons, my mother decided that he should leave the country in the midst of a political context complex. I moved first to United States, where I lived eight years, and then to Costa Rica, country that today I consider my home.

It was in Costa Rica, in my 25 years, where the flame of the art turned on. By a curious coincidence, I met the master Alberto Icaza, a painter nicaraguan extraordinary that I opened the door of his study. I visited him with respect and admiration, taking note of everything he did. He became a great inspiration to me.

My story with the arts began as an act of necessity, but also of passion. I started painting souvenirs, portraits, and cartoons for a living. However, with every stroke, I felt that something within me asked to go beyond. It was in that impulse where I discovered my creative source: an inner voice that sought to connect with the profound, symbolic, that transcends paper and canvas.

That search led me to find a theme that vibrate with my essence: Don Quixote of the Mancha. In it I discovered not only a character, but a mirror in which are reflected the courage, impossible dreams, and the inner struggle that we all have inside. Thus was born a series that allowed me to speak from the soul, and that was recognized by galleries, art fairs and collectors who today carry a piece of my inspiration in their homes.

Today, my works have traveled to different corners of the world. Each one has a history, it carries a fragment of my journey, and continues to speak to the heart of the one who contemplates them. This online gallery is born as an extension of my career, an intimate space where I share not only my paintings, but also their processes, your soul, your truth.
